We're still pushing 90 degrees out, but it's officially OK to drink some PSLs, throw on a blanket scarf and go take some pics in an apple orchard for the gram.
Also, here are three important things you should know: 1. WeWork is in trouble. In an effort to save the company's IPO, Adam Neumann has stepped down as CEO of WeWork, whose IPO paper work featured gems such as "Our mission is to elevate the world's consciousness." Apparently his profile in the Wall Street Journal didn't do him any favors either. "Here are the low-light highlights: Adam had goals to never die, to become Earth's 1st trillionaire, and to be elected president of the world. He stashed weed in a private jet he took to Israel, complicating the flight home. In 2016, he fired 7% of WeWork — then he passed around top-shelf tequila shots and hired Run DMC to play 'It's Tricky.' And Softbank, the top Venture Capital firm invested in WeWork, wanted him to be 'even crazier.'" Robinhood Snacks 2. Social media sleuths strike again. Last week, a guy held up a sign requesting beer money so he could go get some Busch Light. He became a hero, raising over $1 million to donate to an Iowa children's hospital. Then a reporter dug up some offensive tweets he made when he was 16 and everything unraveled from there. "Money began pouring in, and King said he would be donating the money to the Stead Family Children's Hospital in Iowa City. After that, a number of companies agreed to contribute as well. According to King, the account was at $1.14 million as of Tuesday. Anheuser-Busch InBev, Busch Light's parent company, said Tuesday that it will cut ties with King but will still make its donation to the children's hospital ... Anheuser-Busch also said it will no longer give King a free year of Busch Light that included special cans with the man's face on them." ESPN (PS - turns out the reporter who unearthed the posts also had some very problematic posts and is now under fire. Round and round the carousel goes.) 3. Google wins big in the EU. The company hung an L on Team Privacy after when a European court sided with the search engine giant in the "right to be forgotten" case. "The case was brought to the European Court of Justice after the French data watchdog, CNIL, ordered Google to nix all search results for people who wanted their history scrubbed from Google searches, not only in France or the EU but globally. Google wasn’t down with CNIL veering from its lane, and, as of yesterday, European justice officials agreed with Google’s level of hatorade. Europe’s top court ruled that EU law requires Google to scrap the outdated or irrelevant search results about a user only within the EU." The Hustle Know Your Newbies
