Who's Excited For Sports?

Besides the KBO and the American Cornhole League, next weekend we'll get our first taste of pro* golf when Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady square off against Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning. Mark your calendars. Also, here are three other things to help close the week on a happy foot: 1. Hong Kong is reporting no new cases of Covid-19. As our places like Hawaii, Montana and New Zealand. Really uplifting news as a light starts to form at the end of the tunnel. "Across the world, many countries are seeing the number of new cases of COVID-19 wind down into single digits over the last week. Four places—including a huge city like Hong Kong that was hit hard by the pandemic—are even celebrating zero new cases. One of the most densely populated cities on earth, Hong Kong has now gone 22 days as of Monday without re-circulation of the virus within the country. The last new case was reported April 20th." Good News Network 2. Broadway actor Nick Cordero emerged from his coma. Cordero has been in a coma since April 1 and had his leg amputated as a result of Coronavirus. This past weekend, he awoke. Broadway actor Nick Cordero has awakened from a weekslong coma that was part of his desperate fight with COVID-19, according to his wife, Amanda Kloots. She announced the news Tuesday on Instagram, with their baby in her arms. "Nick, dada, is awake!" Kloots said beaming with excitement. "Finally confirmed after two days of, 'Is he doing this?' You get so excited, the nurses are like, 'We think this is happening.' The doctor confirmed today that, 'Yep, I think Nick is awake.' And I was like, 'Oh my God.' " NPR 3. Cats and pigs go together like peas and carrots. Apparently. Check out this video of a cat hanging with his best pig friends for a nice mental break: video.
